Hindsight Intelligence was founded by a Senior Project Engineer with 17+ years in UK water and energy infrastructure — not by an AI startup looking for a problem to solve.
I have spent my career delivering water and energy infrastructure projects — first in Nigeria's oil and gas sector, then across UK water utilities. Over those 17 years, I kept encountering the same frustrating reality: the knowledge to prevent problems already existed, but nobody could find it.
"Post-project reviews were filed. Lessons were written. And then completely ignored on the next project."
I watched experienced engineers retire and take decades of hard-won knowledge with them. I saw contractors repeat the exact same mistakes because nobody had a system to surface what had gone wrong before. I saw AMP cycles repeat the same cost overruns, the same permit delays, the same contractor failures — documented in reports that nobody read.
In 2024, I began working on a solution. Not as an AI researcher looking for a problem, but as a Senior Project Engineer in UK water infrastructure who had lived the problem for nearly two decades. ProjectHindsight is the platform I wished I had had on every project I ever managed.
In Winter 2025, the Institute of Water published an article I wrote on AI-driven project knowledge management — validating that this is a recognised, sector-wide need. In 2026, Hindsight Intelligence Ltd was incorporated and the platform went live.
I hold an MSc in Construction Project Management (Distinction) from the University of Portsmouth and am an Emerging Professional member of the Institute of Water. This is not a generic SaaS startup. It is infrastructure expertise applied to an infrastructure problem.
Every year, the same mistakes are made on infrastructure projects across the UK — costing billions and delaying critical national assets. The knowledge to prevent them already exists. It just isn't accessible.
Our mission is to build the infrastructure for institutional knowledge — so that every project team in every organisation can benefit from what was learned before them.
I am always happy to speak with infrastructure professionals who share the same frustrations I had. No sales pitch — a genuine conversation about the problem and whether ProjectHindsight can help.
